Both servers updated to 8-STABLE. There was a slight problem with GEOM and
disks that were originally partitioned with FreeBSD 3. Also, the Realtek
8169S cards are very crappy. They'll either be replaced, or the servers will
be.

A complete disaster moving the network from one room to another. Servers
fell out of the rack, lots of downtime. Everything is back to normal, minus
the dents in mrnutty's case. Also, the Airport Extreme is dead, and will be
replaced when the Apple Store opens.
May 13, 09
Servers have been updated to 7.2-STABLE.
Apr 15, 09
The boot drive has been replaced, and the system restored from backup. No
data loss. Hoorj.
Apr 15, 09
The move the other day finally killed the boot drive in mrnutty (8 GB
Western Digital). After 4 hours of down time trying to fix, and
frustration over a machine not able to boot a CDROM, I booted back up on the
failing disk. All data is backed up, I need to fdisk the new hard drive from
another machine.
I expect another couple hours of downtime tonight while the new disk is installed.
Apr 11, 09
The network was down for around 2 hours as I consolidated all systems into
one room and recabled power and network. All systems came back up normally.
Jan 07, 09
JCNetNS had issues with old libraries spamming the system. This has been
corrected. Both machines are now clean of all old libs and binaries, and
are 100% operational.
Jan 05, 09
Mrnutty has been rebooted for the 7.1-STABLE upgrade. JCNetNS will be
updated tonight, if the buildworld ever finishes, or tomorrow night.
Jan 04, 09
Documentation updates... Mrnutty has been up for 260 days with no
interruptions of service, at least upstream to our provider. Hoorj!
Apr 23, 08
Our subnet was deprovisioned at 5 pm EDT last night, and reprovisioned at
1215 pm EDT this afternoon. All services are restored.
Apr 18, 08
Servers went offline at 9:30 am, and came back online at 2:30 pm this
afternoon. Mrnutty's videocard died during the move, and was replaced with
the card from nazthree. Nazthree will get a replacement card in the future
when needed.
Apr 16, 08
The network is going down at 9 am EDT on Friday, Apr 18 to be moved to
Jester's Court Communications new offices in Glenolden, PA. RCN will be
doing the cut over at the new office between 11a-2p. DNS may need to be
updated, which could take a few hours to push down to nameservers that do
not follow published TTL.
Mar 07, 08
Both servers upgraded to 7.0-STABLE.
Downtime should be expected during low-traffic periods in the next two months. Jester's Court Communications is moving to a new property near the current office building.
